Corporate social responsibility, i.e. corporations giving to charity, is happening all the time but largely goes unnoticed. One Step Closer lets consumers have an influence on how this money is spent, while corporations benefit from the increased visibility of their actions.
I designed and coded a web app for One Step Closer to pilot the system. The focus was on creating a very simple, clear and pleasant voting experience, affirming that the user had indeed exerted influence.

While very few interactions are required of the user, they feel affirmative and significant.
